Gordon McKewen has been with Radio Southland for a few years now - starting with his disability show 'A Day In The Life Of'. That show was focused on the everyday experiences of people living with a disability, and on organisations who can help people with disabilities have a more enriching day!

These days, Gordon is co-host with Rach Bailey of Radio Southland's LGBTQI+ show Out There - all about representing and advocating for people in the rainbow community.

Gordon is a gay cis-man who lives here in Southland. He is active within the rainbow community through the Green Party, as well as in the disability advocacy sphere. Hailing from Mosgiel, he experienced growing up gay and with a disability in a small regional town. Find out how that shaped him, and more about what drives him to try and make a difference here - on the latest episode of Other Side of the MIC!

Out There airs on Radio Southland 96.4FM on Thursdays at 5.30pm, and you can listen to and download podcasts here!
